Dan Gilbert tell us our beliefs about what will make us happy are often
wrong. A premise he supports with intriguing research, and explains in
his accesible and unexpectelly funny book
We can get to differents types of happiness:
- The synthetic happiness, that is when you don't get your objetives,
but you find something else that please you, for example: You study for be
a teacher but at the end, you are doctor.
- The real happiness, it's when you get your objetives thanks to your effort, for example: to pass a maths exam.
Another example of happiness that Dan Gilbert explains it's the diference
between a person who wins de lottery and a paraplegic person after a month
since pass the accion. They feel the same grade of happiness.
For example, in the case of the person who win the lotery, he will be
sad and worry with his/her money, because someone can still he/she, or
he/she can lose his/her money.
And a paraplegic person for example, now, he can discover things that
he/she really like, and before the accident, he/she didn't see. Or maybe
he/she can spend more time with their family, friends, and be more
happy.

ETHICS AND FREE WILL
Free will is the ability of agents to make choices unimpeded.
In the text we can find two examples:
One of them is Sally when she is driving her car at thew speed limit while she's sending text messages with someone on her mobile phone. she doesn't see the cross walk and she runs over a child. In that case, Sally would feel guilty because it was his fault.
The second example is Jane, that is driving very fast, and suddenly, a child runs above the car. In that case, Jane wouldn't feel guilty because it wasn't his fault, but she would feel badly.

Origin of pleasure
Paul Bloom taught about the different types of pleasure. He said that pleasure wasn't a natural thing because it depends for the different happines what you have. For example: if you're drinking wine from a glass bottle, it will taste better than if you drink the same wine but it on a tetrabrik. Pleasure has some artificial ingredients, which depend if you've is fake or not (in this case the wine).

Matrix's reflection
Neo is a man that has a double life, the real life and the virtual life. One day, Neo was followed by agents. Morfeo offered him two pills, one red and an other one blue. The red one moves him to the real reality, and the blue one to the false reality. Neo chose the red one and he was moved to a very extrange reality. Neo had installed a lot of programmes because he was like a machine.
The programmes that were installed were battle programmedçs, but not all of them were battle programmes. The agents wanted to kill Neo because he could destroy the system.
The relation between Matrix and "mito de la caverna": They have in common that bouth of them hide the reality to the people who are in Matrix.

THE TEXT'S COMMENTARY
We can't use arguments of authority. The problem is that experts use other expert's arguments.
If I'm not an expert, first, I can find all the opinions, and then, I have to choose the argument that is acording with my opinion, and when you have an opinion you look for the experts that have the same opinion as you.
To think that sometimes it's true, it doesn't means that is true.
We can't focus on the appereance. And we have to take the opinion of the person that agrees with us.
